Pro Tools posts an error when trying to create a session on an IDE or SCSI drive. "not a valid audio drive" in Windows 2000, NT, ME or 98SE

There are two kinds of Drive Signatures: Basic and Dynamic. You need to use Basic Drive Signature. You can check this under Computer Management > Disk Management, on the left hand column next to the graphic representation of the drive.To change from Dynamic Disk back to Basic Disk right click on the dynamic disk you want to change back to basic, and then click revert to Basic Disk.
