How do I sync my Roland VS-2480 to Pro Tools LE/Windows when using the Roland DIF-AT Signal Converter Interface?

The Roland DIF-AT Signal Converter Interface can convert its analog outputs to 8 channel Optical/ADAT. VS-2480 (master)Pro T ools (slave)CONNECTIONSRoland R-BUS OUT > Roland DIF-AT Interface > Optical Input on Digi 001 PCI card. (Optical Input has no light. Optical Output has red light.)MIDI OUT of Roland VS-2480 > MIDI IN of Digi 001.PRO TOOLS CONFIGURATION1) Launch a Pro Tools session. Make sure that bit depth and sample rate match between Pro Tools and the VS-2480.2) Windows Menu > Show Session Setup. Sync Mode = Optical.Make sure that the Start time and Current Time Code are the same, or that Start Time is a little ahead of Current Time. Using the Optical connection from the VS-2480 > DIF-AT > 001 Optical Input- Setups Menu > Playback Engine > Yes > Other Options > Set Optical Format to ADAT > Done > OK. Pro Tools LE will reload. - Setups Menu > I/O Setups > Click on Input Tab > Click on Default button to Reset I/O's > OK. 5) Select Inputs for tracks: ADAT 1- 8.6) In Pro Tools: Setups > Peripherals > Synchronization: device = Generic MTC reader, Port = Any.7) Set to ONLINE by pressing clock icon on Pro Tools transport, Transport = Pro Tools; and press record button. Both Online and Record button will flash until sync begins.8) Setups > Preferences> Operation: Record Online at Insertion/Selection.9) Record enable all audio tracks. 10)Press play on the VS-2480 and Pro Tools will sync and go into record.
