Q:
When I open an OMF session (exported from digital performer 3.0) the audio does not show up on the tracks. The audio is in the audio region bin, just not in the playlist.
A:
This is a know issue. From AB-7075:From MOTU tech support:Digidesign changed the way their file locators work. This means rather than specifying a literal file location, they now write their file locators out in the form of URLs (ex. "file://....."). Regretfully, since DP isn't expecting this, we don't know how to locate the source file data (thus the error). Furthermore, in investigating the contents of the raw OMF data file, there is additional info (automation, audio regions, etc.) that are written into the file which wasn't previously supported by OMF files generated by DigiTranslator 1.0. In short, this means that extra engineering will be required on our end to support this newer DigiTranslator version. Our engineers are currently looking into the new additions, and hopefully can have support by the next DP 3.x release.
