Usually when wiring a balanced output to an unbalanced source you would merge negative to ground. The back of the 192 I/O specifically says not to do this. Does this apply for other Digidesign hardware such as the Control|24?

Control|24's monitor outs are floating balanced and 192 I/O's are not.Merge negative to ground with the Control|24. Don't for the 192 I/O.
