Windows XP tells me I cannot install digidesign drivers

This can happen if you have manually selected Windows XP to block the installation of unsigned drivers.To remove this limitation, click Start > Control Panel > systemSelect Hardware, select driver signing, select 'ignore' instead of 'block'
