Q:
Sometimes a "dot" (or period) appears in the timecode display of USD or SYNC I/O, why does this happen?
A:
A "dot" between the minutes and frames display (00 00. 00 00) indicates that the positional reference is in auto LTC/VITC mode.A "dot" between the frames and subframes display (00 00 00. 00) indicates odd/even field distinction. A lit decimal point to the right of frames indicates an even-numbered field; no decimal point indicates odd numbered.
