Should I also disable the "1394 network drivers" in Device Manager?
A:
No. Some PCI 1394 cards include "1394 network drivers" (if they do, you will see a "1394 Network Adapter" in Device Manager). Disabling THIS network driver may severely hamper FireWire performance.
