Q:
When MachineControl issues a stop command, the deck "fumbles" around due to a small (approximately 1 frame) selection that is created on the timeline.
A:
This is a known issues in Pro Tools 5.1.1 and higher. It will only happen when using LTC for positional reference with Transport = Machine and Pro Tools set to online. It does not happen when using Serial Timecode. It also only occurs when "Timeline Insertion Follows Playback" and "Machine Follows Edit Insertion/Scrub" are checked in preferences. The selection is created between the initial stop command and when the machine stops reading time code.
