Q:
How do I assign different PRESETS to all 32 MIDI channels? (Proteus2000, Xtreme lead 1, Virtuouso2000)
A:
Each MIDI channel can play one preset at a time. The Proteus 2000 has 32 MIDI channels, which means that 32 presets can be played simultaneously, in other words Proteus 2000 is "32 part multi-timbral". Since MIDI has only 16 MIDI channels, we have two different MIDI inputs on the back of the unit, labelled MIDI A and MIDI B. The main screen of the Proteus 2000 is where you assign presets to MIDI channels.
To assign a preset to each and every MIDI channel, simply follow the same procedure outlined above, but cursor to the top left hand corner to select each of the 32 MIDI channels, and then go back to the bottom display to select the preset you want assigned to that particular MIDI channel.

How do I EDIT a PRESET? (Proteus2000, Xtreme lead 1, Virtuouso2000) I'm using a mass storage card with a Macintosh and a PC. Each computer shows a different set of files and folders, and claims to have the entire hard drive. Dragging the icon to the trash (or using the other software controls) to eject a card sometimes does not work. on my Mac. I get a message that the card was not ejected successfully. But sometimes this same card does eject just fine. Why? Some cards are ejected all the way out and slide across my desk. Can the card be damaged if it falls off the desk?
