In order for the record message to get through to the ADAT, you must record arm a virtual track on the DTP in the MIDI Machine window of Performer. To create a track for the DTP in this window, click on the DTP, pull down the mini-menu for the MIDI Machine window, and select set number of tracks. Set the DTP to have 1 track. When you want to punch in with the Record button in DP, make sure that the virtual track for the DTP is also record armed.
