Q:
MOTU Issue: Configuring the MTP/AV for an LRC

A:
If commands from LRC do not respond properly when you have setup the MTP/AV for the LRC as described in the MTP/AV manual, it is possible that you need to recalibrate the AV. The steps for recalibrating the LRC commands are as follows:

1.) Open the AV (take the cover off the unit, lift slowly, as
there are two wires which will remain connected to the top cover).
2.) Put the LRC into the Pedal B jack, turn the Window knob on the AV
until the LCD displays "Pedals," then use the select and value knobs to select pedal B, then LRC respectively. Move the cursor knob left to the Pedals screen once this has been assigned.
3.) Inside the AV, turn the Range trim pot to the 10:00 position, the Null to 12:00.
4.) Look at the LCD display, turn the Range trim pot until the display just begins turning to 14 (it will flash between 13 and 14).
5.) Press and hold the Auto Loop button, turn the Null trim pot until the display begins turning to 50.
6.) Check the last two steps, then check that the Rewind command yields a value of 20-21, Fast Forward = 18-19, Play = 26-27, Record = 16-17, and Stop = 22-25.

This should now work properly with the AV/ADAT configuration.
