Q:
MOTU Issue: Waveform editing with Audio Desk?
A:
Audio Desk supports stereo tracks as well as mono tracks. You can view a selection down to the sample and perform any basic editing of your choice. This includes fades, trim, cut, copy, paste, splice, snip, split etc..
Of course in Audio Desk, you have full multi-track recording and playback, mixing with realtime effects, as well as automation . You also have the ability in Audio Desk to select a soundbite and open it up in another Waveform editor if you'd like. For instance, you could open a soundbite in Peak for editing. Peak can use our PCI-324 Sound Manager driver and you will be able to monitor Peaks editing with the 2408.
