The iPort has been proven to work with FreeMIDI. Currently, the iPort does not work with any iMac models other than the 233. It is possible that Griffin Technologies may have an updated adapter in the future.

If you have an iMac/233 with a Rev A or Rev B board, the iPort will work and you can use it for connecting to a serial MIDI interface. The iPort has been tested with MOTU Software and MOTU MIDI interfaces.
