Q:
MOTU Issue: Digital Performer 2.7, DAE 5.0, Digi 001, and the AudioMedia card
A:
Digital Performer 2.7 includes DAE 5.0 compatibility for use with TDM hardware only. Therefore, the Audiomedia 3 card is not supported under DAE 5.0.
The Digi 001 is host based audio hardware, where DSP is handled by the software and computer's processor, not DSP chips on the hardware itself. Therefore, the Digi 001 is also not supported by DAE 5.0. If you want to use the 001 with Digital Performer you will use Direct I/O. With Digital Performer 2.7, the Digi 001 and Audio Media III card are compatible using the Digidesign direct i/o or the AudioMedia II/III driver. Either of these drivers can be chosen in the Configure Hardware Driver Window, under Direct I/O. If you wish to run Digital Performer 2.7 with the AudioMedia card under DAE, you'll need to revert to DAE version 3.4.1 or 3.4.2.
