Q:
MOTU Issue: Punching in on the fly under DAE

A:
Digital Performer does not support punching in on the fly under DAE.

If you are using non-TDM Digidesign Hardware under DAE with Digital Performer you may punch in and out one time only. If you would like to perform a second punch-in you must use the Auto- Record feature.

If you are using TDM hardware under DAE with Digital Performer you will not have the ability to punch in on the fly. Any time you want to engage record after the sequence has begun playing you must use Digital Performer's Auto-Record feature.

If you are using any Digidesign PCI hardware under Motu Audio System/Direct I/O with Digital Performer 2.43- 2.61, you may punch in and out one time. If you would like to perform a second punch-in you must use the Auto-Record feature.

Digital Performer 2.7 allows you to punch in and out as many times as you wish when using the Motu Audio System.
