Q:
MOTU Issue: Why do I lose SPDIF input on my Audiomedia card?
A:
It is possible to get into a state where you lose SPDIF input on your Audiomedia card after switching from Motu Audio System to DAE. This happens because MAS allows the ability to use your SPDIF inputs and Analog inputs at the same time. DAE does not allow you to use all four inputs at the same time. Therefore, when switching to DAE the hardware is confused by preferences in the DigiSetup file. To correct the problem, throw away your DigiSetup file.
