MOTU Issue: Why aren't my expansion board patchlists showing up in FreeMidi after I have pasted the text in?
A:
Assuming you have followed the instructions outlined in the FreeMIDI default names folder. You are probably just missing a simple, yet key step.
- Open up your FreeMIDI configuration. Select your device in question, and delete it. - Go to the Configuration menu>Create Device menu, and recreate the same device. (Connect it like you would any device in FreeMIDI by dragging connections to the appropriate port. ) This procedure forces FreeMIDI to reassociate the relationship between the device and it's new patchlist. You should now be able to select Pop-Up Patchlists, from the MIDI menu, and view your correct patches in Performer.
