When running Digital Performer under DAE, your input monitoring mode is determined by the Audio Patch Thru selection in the Basics menu or in the Audio Monitor.

When a Track is record enabled and Audio Patch Thru is turned on, Digital Performer is always patching through input until you un-record enable the track. This is similar to All Input mode or choosing “Never” under Motu Audio System Options> Input Monitoring Mode.

When a track is record enabled and Audio Patch Thru is turned off, Digital Performer will play the track until you are punched in and actually recording. Then you will be monitoring the input. This is similar to Auto Mode or “When Playing and not Punched In” under Motu Audio System Options.
