Q:
How can I have my software sequencer change banks on the Kurzweil K2000, K2500, or K2600?
A:
There are two ways it will change banks.
1. Since valid programs in each 100s bank range from 0-99 only, you can send a standard program change message of 100-109 to select the banks 0-9 (last digit of the 100s number). You'll want to send another program change message immediately afterward to select the instrument (0-99) within the bank. 2. You can also send a standard Midi Controller 0 message with the bank number 0-9. This is very common among MIDI equipment, and most software sequencers have this option. Following the Controller 0, you'll want to send a standard program change (0-99) to select the program within the bank.
