When I try to load or save from my Akai MPC2000, the screen goes to jibberish...

When I try to load or save from my Akai MPC2000, the screen goes to jibberish. What can I do? What am I doing wrong?

One of several things could be going on.

1. Make sure you have the latest operating system. As of August 2003, the latest version is 1.14.

2. Make sure you have not changed disks since loading/saving. If so, you may need to go to the SCSI page, select a different SCSI ID and then switch back to the one your drive is on. This will force it to refresh what disk is in the drive.

3. Your file/disk may be corrupt.
