Is the new Digidesign Pro Tools 6.11 update on the Digi website a full version of the software or just an update for existing software? Do I need to uninstall Pro Tools 6.1 to install 6.11?

The Pro Tools 6.11 update is just an update, you should not uninstall Pro Tools 6.1 to install 6.11, it is required you have 6.1 on your system. The updater will not install Pro Tools onto your system.
