I cannot get multiple instruments to work on the internal sequencer of the Roland Fantom keyboard, what can I do?

The Fantom needs to be in Performance Mode and on Preset 01, which is the Sequence template. Patch mode only allows one instrument to be played at a time, even in the multi-timbral built-in sequencer.
