Q:
Are there any known problems with the NForce (made by nVidea) motherboard chipsets for Athalon processors?
A:
Yes, though issues vary. Some users report no problems with the Nforce or Nforce 2 chipset with their Athalon processor, but some users are not able to get hardware or software working and are experiencing compatability or performance issues. It is not known how to correct the problems if you happen to have them. Due to the unknown incompatabilities of these chipsets, we strongly recommend going with a purely Intel system including and Intel processor and Intel chipset.
