Q:
Why aren't sequences playing correctly on my Kurzweil K2000 or K2VX? The programs seem to be incorrect.
A:
The K2vx and K2000VP have a different set of preset programs, setups, and effects than the ones found in the original K2000. If you have a sequence which uses the preset programs and effects, it will not sound correct when loaded into a unit with different presets. For this reason, we have created compatibility files which you can use when loading a song which uses the other presets.
For the K2000VP and K2vx The K2vx ships with a K2000 to K2vx compatibility disk. The K2000VP does not ship with this disk, but it can be downloaded here. Because of the size of the file, it requires the PRAM expansion option in order to load the file (included in a K2vx). For the original K2000 You can download this file containing the first 200 preset programs from the K2vx and K2000VP. Once again, because of the size of the file, it requires the PRAM expansion option in order to load the file.
