Do I need to hook up my Roland XV2020 to my computer via USB to use the XV2020 software editor program or can I use MIDI only?
 
A:
You can use either MIDI or USB to connect the XV2020 to the computer, but it's not a good idea to connect both at the same time (due to possibility of a MIDI loop). The editor software can use either MIDI or USB to communicate to the XV2020.
