Getting error messages: Lost communication with the Digi 002 unit -6097 or -6093 in Pro Tools in OS X with a Digi 002 either when creating or opening a Pro Tools session or during playback.

The problem can be caused by having a PCI graphics card installed along with the AGP graphics card in a Mac G5 computer. PCI graphics cards are NOT supported in OS X. Only AGP graphics cards are supported. Removing the PCI graphics card, just using the AGP graphics card, may solve the problem.
