Formatting a Glyph firewire drive with Windows XP / 2000.

Here is the recommended procedure from Glyph:
Click on the Start Menu Click Control Panel Double Click Administrative Tools Double Click Computer Management Double Click Disk Management – Usually the Wizard pops up here to assist you – or hit cancel. The drive should show up on the right hand side of the screen and is probably designated Disc 1 Right Click on Disk 1 (small box on the left ) and choose initialize Right Click on the large box on the right and choose new partition The wizard will probably pop up again here – choose primary partition Next choose size – all if only 1 partition Assign a letter Choose fat 32 or ntfs (fat 32 will show up in win/98 and on a mac desk top – ntfs will only work on 2000 and xp**** fat 32 has a 32 Gb limit so if you are formatting drives over 32 gb you must partition the drive******* Volume label – name drive Click all - finish
