Q:
My Mackie BigKnob has a hum in the outputs when I use the talkback mic. What's wrong?
A:
The Mackie BigKnob ships with the input voltage selector set to 240v, and using it in the U.S. requires you to flip the switch to 120v. While running it in 240v selection will not harm the unit, and it will seem to otherwise operate properly, it does cause a hum in the talkback mic. Simply switch the voltage selector (by the power connector) to 120v and all should be fine.
