Gary,

Have the customer send their Delta 1010's into us and we can repair this for them.

Jorge is our RA Dept Manager who can facilitate the information.

Thanks.
Alex

Alex
How are you? Hope things are well.

We received a call from a customer who has two Delta 1010 PCI cards in two different computers and he says that the cards will not lock properly to the Apogee Big Ben word clock outputs.

Since we have a Delta 1010LT here I gave it a try and from what I can tell it does not seem to have a proper lock. I'm not totally sure though. In the control panel should the word clock radio button not flash? It says locked and doesn't go unlocked but certain aspects of the control panel seem to blink as if it wants to change or isn't on a solid lock. For instance, as I mentioned I check off word clock for the clock source and the dot seems to blink. Not only that but Codec Sample Rate words and the Word Clck Sample Rate words blink as well.

We've looked at the Word clock input and output of the Delta when locked to the Big Ben via a scope and there seems to be some weird over correction happening. Our engineer here says that the chip you are using is completely compatible but obviously something else may be going on either in the firmware or the hardware.

Anyways, we'd be more than happy to help solve this in any way.

Gary Brenner
