Q:
How do I uninstall my RME Cardbus audio interface in Windows?
A:
The best uninstallation method is to boot into Windows Safe Mode (hit F8 just before Windows booting logo appears, in the boot menu simply choose Safe Mode). Then go to Device Manager and uninstall the driver.
To go further into this, for more advanced users, search the registry for RME Hammerfall 3FC5 (3FC5 is the device ID assigned by Windows for the RME Cardbus) and delete entries. Then, search System and System32 for RME drivers, remove them. Reboot and install the latest driver.
