Q:
When I attempt to launch ProTools 6.4 in Mac OS, I get "An assertion error occured... line 57."
 
A:
In one case moving the application "ProTools LE 6.4" from its folder (Applications > Digidesign > ProTools) to the desktop caused this problem. Moving the application back into its original folder fixed the problem.
