Q:
SoundSoap Pro - Known Issues
A:
Affected OS: OS 10.2.5 - OS 10.2.8
In Jaguar, the BIAS Key panel provided to activate the dongle does not allow you to type directly into the serial number field. Users who are in OS 10.2.x should type their SoundSoap Pro serial number into a text file, then copy and paste it into the BIAS Key panel's serial number field. After you have pasted the serial number into the appropriate field, you can proceed with the activation process. Affected Hosts: Cubase SX 2, Nuendo 2, Digital Performer 4.12, Pro Tools 6 In some host applications the "Learn Noise" button in the broadband tool can only be engaged during audio playback. To learn the noise profile using one of these hosts use one of the following methods: 1. Use the "Timed Learn Mode" button to create a noise profile. To do this, simply click on the "Timed Learn Mode" button (indicated by a clock icon) and then initiate playback. You will need to click on the "Timed Learn Mode" button a second time to end the learning process. 2. Initiate Playback before learning the noise profile. To do this, simply initiate playback before clicking on the "Snapshot Learn Mode" (indicated by a camera icon). Affected Hosts: Cubase SX 2, Nuendo 2 If you have SoundSoap Pro on an audio track insert, and write plug-in automation, the automation will not be read on initial playback. Stopping playback, rewinding the playhead and playing the audio a second time will initiate the plug-in automation. This only affects automation on audio tracks written using write mode. Creating a separate FX track, or drawing automation envelopes onto the audio track will result in normal automation behavior.

I can't get Live to start in Mac OS X. Every time I double-click on the application icon, it starts to boot and then fails. When trying to launch Live 4 or 3 in Mac OS X, I get this message: "Live could not access the folder Application Support in the Library folder of your home folder. Most likely this is because of a permission problem. Please try to allow write access to that folder for the current use. If you don't know how to do this you can get instructions in the FAQ section at www.ableton.com." |
