Can I use store-bought Alkaline or rechargable (NiCd or NiMH) batteries inside the Marantz PMD670?
A:
Yes, but off-the-shelf rechargable batteries will not be charged inside the unit.
Also, the PMD670 needs to be told what type of battery you're using. The default is Alkaline. You can go into the menu and set the type of battery to Alkaline, NiCd (Nickel-Cadmium), or NiMH (Nickel-Metal-Hydride).
