Q:
How do I move the SAGE folder to a more appropriate location such as an external hard drive or a dedicated sample drive? (WinXP)
A:
If you would like to move the bulky sage directory to a secondary drive, All you need to do is move the Sage folder, located in C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics\, to a different location. (i.e. External Drive, Sample Drive, etc.)
Note: It is recommended that the new location be in the form of X:\Spectrasonics\Sage\ This will ensure there are no conflicts when performing any updates to StylusRMX which may be dependant on the original directory structure. In addition to moving the Sage folder, it is imperative that a shortcut be created and place in the original location of the Sage folder. If this is not done, StylusRMX will not be able to find the samples. To do this: • Right click on the newly moved Sage folder • Select Create Shortcut. • Rename the Shortcut to "Sage" • Move the Shortcut back to the original Sage folder location 'C:\Program Files\Spectrasonics\'
