Q:
Does FXpansion BFD work with audio cards which do not have pro-audio ASIO drivers (consumer-based Soundblaster-compatible cards) on Windows in standalone mode?
A:
No, BFD requires ASIO drivers to run in standalone mode. However, BFD will work with non-ASIO based cards through a host application through a VSTI, DXI, RTAS, or Rewire plugin.
There is also a 3rd party program you can try to create ASIO drivers for a consumer soundcard at www.asio4all.com
