Q:
I have an MBox and a G5, running Pro Tools LE 6.9.2 in Mac OS 10.4.x. When I play more than one audio track I get the message, "The operating system held off interrupts for too long, try increasing hardware buffer size" with error -9094 included.
A:
1. Be sure to connect the MBox directly to a built-in USB port on the G5. (In some cases, connecting the MBox to a USB hub has caused this problem.)
2. In Pro Tools' SETUP menu, choose Playback Engine. The options there should be set to: • H/W Buffer size = 512, or higher • CPU Usage Limit = %95 or lower, but NOT %99 • DAE Playback Buffer = Level 2 (default) 3. Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences. There, click Energy Saver and visit the Options page. Make sure "Processor Performance" is set to HIGHEST.

I get a "Low Power Notice" error message when I connect my M-Audio USB device to my computer. Why is this and what can I do about it? When I change sample rate on my audio interface and launch Cubase LE, it displays the message, "Sample rate could not be set. This may be due to the sample clock being set to external sync." My Diamond bundle is fully installed and authorized, but I am missing two plugins: Doppler and Ultra Pitch. Where can I find them? What exactly is this BLUE Snowball?
