Q:
I connect my microphone to the IN1 audio input, but I cannot hear other than a very feeble signal entering. How can I hear my microphone?
A:
The IN1 audio input is a line-level input, so it is not viable for microphones. You must use the MIC input instead. Please don't forget to slide the 1/MIC switch to the MIC position, before starting using your microphone.
In case your microphone is supplied with a jack connector only, you can buy a male jack -> male XLR adapter in any musical instrument shop. Cables with a jack on one side and an XLR connector on the other side are also available. Please remember that Pa1X is fitted with a high-quality microphone preamplifier, so it is a good idea to use it with a high-quality microphone and cable.
