Q:
What kinds of microphones are compatible with the MicroTrack 24/96 mobile recorder?
A:
The MicroTrack 24/96 mobile recorder offers 30V of phantom power. This means that the unit will work safely and effectively with a wide variety of popular microphones while preserving battery life and extending recording time beyond that of 48V devices. In addition, some microphones that claim to require 48V of phantom power may function with less.*
Below please find a list of commonly used microphones that are capable of operating with 30V of phantom power according to the manufacturers’ specifications (please note the operating voltage range listed next to the name of each microphone). Please bear in mind that this list is by no means comprehensive. Please check your microphone’s documentation for its minimum phantom power requirement.
