Q:
I have an Evolution UC-33 USB controller, and it came with an overlay for Live. I can't find anything about a template or setting for Live in the UC-33's documentation. Does one exist?
A:
The UC-33 does not have a specific template or setting for Live. All assignments are made in Live using MIDI Map Mode. The parameters in Live do not use preset MIDI values; you can assign them to the MIDI CC of your choice, so a template is not needed. Be sure that the UC-33 is set as the Input in the Remote Control section of the Preferences MIDI/Sync tab and press the MIDI Map Mode switch. Click on any control that appears highlighted in the Live interface and move the desired control on the UC-33 to make an assignment. Exit MIDI Map Mode to use the assignments you have made.
