Q:
How do I import MIDI files into Digital Performer?
A:
You can import and export standard MIDI files using DP's drag and drop capabilities.
To import MIDI files, just drag them from the Mac OS desktop into the Chunks window. Then the Chunks can be dragged into the other DP windows. Alternately the files can be dragged directly to the Tracks window. Dragging a MIDI file over the Name "Conductor" in the Tracks window will add multi channel midi files to seperate Midi Tracks. To export a MIDI file, command-drag a chunk in the Chunks window to the Mac OS desktop. You can also do the same with a MIDI clipping, or a selection of MIDI data in the Graphic Editor or QuickScribe Editor. (from Digital Performer manual)
