Can I format the MicroTrack 24/96's Compact Flash card on my Mac (using Disk Utility) and still use the card with my PC afterward?
 
A:
Macintosh OS X 10.4 (Tiger) supports formatting media in MSDOS FAT16 format, which should allow the Compact Flash card to function on both, PC- and Mac OS X systems. Although this formatting feature is available in OS X 10.4 and higher, OS X 10.3 and below cannot format media in MSDOS FAT16.
