Q:
I am trying to use some loops in Live but they are playing much too fast/slow or are warbling/vibrating. Why?
A:
Sometimes Live will calculate the tempo at double or half speed. Please check the Warp section in the Clip View for the original tempo. Here you can double and halve the tempo to fix the problem. If the tempo is too far from the original tempo and the Warp settings are incorrect, the sample will sound very "stretched". Also check the Warp Mode for the clip in the Clip View. If it is not a rhythmic loop, please try the Tones or Texture Mode to find good settings. The vibrating sound is most likely due to the incorrect Warp Mode being used. Experimenting with the Warp Modes and settings can reduce the audible artifacts. Please see the manual section "Time-Warping Samples" for more details.
Please be sure that Live has not calculated tempo at half or double time. Also, check if other Warp Modes are more suitable for the type of sound you are using.
