Q:
Everytime I start Absynth 3 I get a sample not found dialog When I locate the sample evertyhing is good, but upon starting Absynth 3 again I get the same error message. How can i fix this?
A:
This is a known problem if you have Absynth 2 and Absynth 3 installed on the same computer. Upon installing Absynth 3, the Absynth preferences folder (~/preferences) was not updated.
1. Make an alias for the Absynth 3 Samples folder located in the Absynth 3 application folder (control click > Make alias). 2. Move this alias to the folder ~/preferences/Absynth (where ~ is your home user directory) 3. Delete the old Samples alias. 4. Rename the file Samples alias to Samples. Now upon starting Absynth 3, it will find the sample references.

In Protools, I choose the check box in Pro Tools under the MIDI menu to sync plug-ins to Protools, but Kontakt does not synch to Protools session tempo. The Kontakt manual says as a plug-in there should be an "external sync button" near the tempo dial but I can't see it. I've set up a part in MachFive to Part Select, but I can't turn it off and on.
