ProTools 6.9.2 in Mac OS 10.4 won't allow an external drive formatted as Mac OS extended (HFS+) to be designated as an audio record volume in the Workspace window.
 
A:
Record drives for ProTools should have Journaling enabled. To do this, use the Disk Utility (Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility). Select the drive in question from the list on the left side of Disk Utility, then choose "Enable Journaling" from the File menu.
