I cannot record in WaveLab or SoundForge
 
A:
I cannot record with my Wave Editor

If you can hear the sources but you cannot record them or see any activity in your Wave Editor, here are some settings you can check:

1) In Windows
1 Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel and Sounds and Audio Devices.
2 In the Audio tab, check that the E-DSP soundcard is selected as the default deveice for Sound Playback and Sound Recording.
3 Then click on Volume in the Sound Recording field. A new windows appears.
4 In the Options menu setect Properties. The properties windows appears.
5 Select Recording and tick Wave in the Show the following voume control field to activate it.

2) In PatchMix DSP
1 Click on OUTPUTS to show the Output assignment in the TV.
2 Then click on host to highlight it.
3 In the MIX column tick the case that will draw arrow to WAVEL/R in order to send the output of the mix to the wave source in Windows
3) In the Wave Editor
1 In the Options menu of WaveLab, click on Preferences, then select the Audio Card tab.
2 Make sure the E-DSP Wave is selected as source for both Playback and Recording source fields.

Setup is now complete and you should be able to record using Wavelab
