Q:
Can I connect my FireWire audio device to a computer that is also connected via IEE 1394 FireWire cable to a network(internet)?
A:
It is not recommended to have a Firewire network (internet) connection active while you are running a FireWire audio interface at the same time. The same computer can use both, just not simultaneously.
Attempting this may cause conflict problems with your audio applications as well as networking/internet problems. For more information on what settings or how to optimize your computer for use with pro audio applications and interfaces please refer to our PC Optimization Guide (Sweetcare article 30058) and the Mac Optimization guide (Sweetcare article 30300).
