Q:
What external control surfaces work with Vegas 5.0, 6.0 and ACID Pro 6.0?
A:
In addition to the devices that work with Vegas 4**, Sony Media Software has fully tested and supports using the Mackie Control and the Mackie Control Universal. Other control surfaces have not been tested and cannot be guaranteed to work properly. Vegas 5.0 & 6.0 and now ACID Pro 6.0 support the Mackie Control surface and any other surface that supports the Mackie Control protocol (in emulation mode). You can also manually configure control surfaces, though they will not be as fully integrated as the Mackie Control.
Vegas 5.0 & 6.0 and ACID Pro 6.0 support creating your own mapping for external surfaces that send MIDI CC or MIDI note data to the computer. Please consult the program's built-in Help file for instructions on setting up your own mapping for MIDI based control surfaces ** A complete list is available here: www.custcenter.com
