Q:
How can I adjust pre-delay in my Sony Oxford reverb?
A:
A pre-delay of a complete Oxford Reverb plus early reflections sounds unusual because it puts you outside the simulated space in an odd way - that is why Sony has not provided it in the plugin. Although of course you can still get it by adding a simple (e.g. Digidesign) delay plug in advance of the reverb plug-in if you want.
Therefore, for those wanting that kind of delayed echo only sound it's best to avoid the E/R completely and rely on the tail reverb and the 'comp delay' only to get your effect (as the Tail reverb has no space relationship of its own). To do this, set the output mix to 100% Tail, Set the L/R input mix to 100% delayed input (DLY INP), release the ER Track button on the Comp Delay (so it ignores the ER size settings) and adjust the 'Comp Delay' control to get the desired pre-delay. With the Reverb setup like this, you will be listening to the Late Reverb only being driven from a delayed version of the input - with no clutter from the ER section.
