Q:
Recently my MBox started giving random spurts of white noise. What can I do and is there a fix?
A:
This is a common issue that is seen when Pro Tools users run newer versions of Pro Tools, like 7.1 on an older Mbox (1st version). This problem is usually fixed by updating the firmware of the MBox. You can obtain the latest firmware from Digidesigns website or the link below: www.digidesign.com
If the problem persists after updating the firmware, the MBox may need to be repaired.
