Q:
When I launch Pro Tools I get an "Access Violation" error followed by "Fatal exception occurred. Pro Tools must exit. A log file written Referenced memory at, could not be read" on a Windows system.
A:
In one case, this was resolved by repairing the installation of Pro Tools using "Repair" from the Installer disc or Installer file. To do this, locate the "Setup.exe" file in the "Pro Tools LE Installer" folder. Double click on "Setup.exe" to launch the Install Shield Wizard. Select "Repair" and click "Next". Continue through the installation process and restart your computer. Once your computer has restarted, launch Pro Tools.
